NASA Nor Cal Hires Scott Smith NASA recently announced that Scott Smith of Novato, Calif., will be joining its team. The 46 year old had been volunteering at NASA Nor Cal events, as well as running the popular Teen Car Control clinics. He officially started work on July 28. A Navy veteran of the Gulf War and self-titled computer geek, Smith brings many talents to the organization. “We are extremely pleased that Scott has joined us full time. He will be a great asset to the team, both on the Nor Cal level and on the National level,” said Jerry Kunzman, NASA’s Executive Director. “He’s versatile, reliable and a great people person.” Smith has backgrounds in information technology, as well as food preparation and service. He also has hosted large events for the Volvo Club, mostly at local racetracks. Smith will divide his time working for Nor Cal and the National office, working under Director of Sponsorship, Jeremy Croiset.
